A CRIME THRILLER STORYThe Math Problem Killer is a crime thriller. A serial killer known as the Math Problem killer is abducting hostages, and placing them inside insidious dungeons that are full of traps. The killer then sends a video to local law enforcement, informing the police where the dungeon and hostage are located, thereby taunting the police to try to rescue the hostage. The game takes place over the course of six months and follows the Serial Killer Task Force as it attempts to find and apprehend the Math Problem killer. The player assumes the role of a Task Force Special Agent who is charged with entering the dungeons, solving the math problems, and ultimately rescuing the hostage. THIS GAME IS ALL ABOUT THE MATHThe Math Problem Killer is a math based dungeon crawler. The player must solve complicated math problems in order to proceed through the dungeon. The player is a Special Agent that is sent inside the dungeons constructed by the Math Problem Killer to rescue the hostages. Each room of the dungeon is locked. The Math Problem Killer has placed multiple recordings of pieces of a fact pattern and an accompanying complicated multi-part math problem in each room. The player must listen to the recordings and solve the math problem that is presented. The answer to the math problem is the door code for the locked door. However, if the player enters a wrong answer the hostage will be immediately killed.ONE MISTAKE AND THE HOSTAGE DIESIn The Math Problem Killer, the player assumes the role of a Serial Killer Task Force Special Agent, that is sent inside dungeons constructed by a sadistic killer, to rescue hostages held by the killer. The player must solve extremely complicated math problems in order to disarm traps, and proceed deeper into the dungeon. If the player enters an incorrect code into the doors or crate, then acid will flood the crate and kill the hostage. A single mistake will kill the hostage and cause the player to fail the level. The Math Problem Killer is a high consequence game in which one mistake will have dire consequences. So think carefully Special Agent.YOU WILL NEED A PENCIL AND PAPERIn each level the player will need to solve a complicated math word problem, and use the answer as the code to open doors and ultimately the crate containing the hostage. This means there is only one mechanic in this game. Solving long and complicated math word problems. In each room the player will need to listen to multiple recordings of a fact pattern, and the related math question. The player will need to remember the different variables, and use those variables in the way that is directed by the killer's recordings. The only way to successfully solve these math problems is utilize a pencil and piece of paper. The player will need to write things down. Because one math mistake, and the hostage dies.
